I’m a 38 year old living with Bipolar disorder that I was diagnosed with in 2006. I’ve taken up running in the past 3 years and have found that is helps with the mood swings. I started this post for multiple reasons, 1. was reading a book and the author mentioned blogging and said it was a great way to share with others your stories of running. 2. I feel that bipolar disorder is misunderstood and people react differently to it, I wanted to share with others that Bipolar disorder is not life threatening. 3. to reach out to the bipolar community to share with others that struggles that I have faced and currently facing, letting them know that there are other people out there struggling that same fight and hopefully inspire other people to seek out help or come out to friends and family about their disorder.
